I’m going to come back soon and tell the whole strange and mournful (and so much more) story, but before that I want to lie on the bed and do nothing. But before that I want to thank every one of you for praying, reaching out, sharing, virtual hugging, and holding us in your hearts.
Things went (and continue to go) much better than expected!
Off I go…for now. Just know that I am okay and Jonah is okay and I’m pretty sure Andy is okay, and I am filled with gratitude, hope, and love.
Glad you are ok and Jonah too. Take care X

The right thing is obviously not always an easy or painless thing – – but it is right nonetheless. Never doubt that you explored every available option and chose with wisdom and love. As with any child, Jonah’s potential will unfold in the best environment you can provide, and that is exactly what you have set in motion. “The nature of this flower is to bloom.”
Autism research is moving steadily and there will be developments in Jonah’s lifetime, and from which he will benefit, which we can hardly imagine today.
Get some sleep; the bad dreams will pass.

Glad to hear from you and that things are going better than expected. As A&H said, doing the right thing isn’t always easy or painless, but you have put him in a place and with people that will hopefully help him create a routine and a safe haven and help him flourish to the best of his abilities.
